SPASC Junior Program

Speers Point Amateur Sailing Club's (SPASC) Junior Sailing Program is a fun, friendly, engaging and safe introduction to the sport of sail racing for children aged 8 to 16 years.

SPASC is an Australian Sailing Discover Sailing Centre, offering accredited courses delivered by qualified Australian Sailing-accredited instructors. The Junior Sailing Program is specifically designed for children who have already learned the fundamentals of sailing, incorporating games and group activities to provide a gradual transition from sailing lessons to racing in a junior fleet. The Start Sailing 2 and Green Fleet 2 courses that comprise the Junior Program provide a friendly and relaxed learning environment, with parents invited to observe from the clubhouse balcony. Once registered for the appropriate course based on your sailing experience you can expect:

  • a small group of participants with a similar level of experience

  • a participant pack containing resources to facilitate your development

  • qualified instructors

  • boats and lifejackets provided

  • no special clothing required.

If you're keen to learn the exciting sport of sail racing, the SPASC Junior program is for you!
